Tribal outfit Tipra Motha to contest in 42 of 60 seats in Tripura

Tipra Motha, which is making its assembly polldebut, is contesting in 42 of the complete 60 seats within the February 16 Tripura elections. Round 20 of those are tribal seats whereas the remaining 22 are non-tribal ones.

The event has fielded outmoded MLA Ashish Das from Kamalasagar assembly constituency. Das had resigned from the BJP final year and joined Trinamool Congress and later left it to affix Tipra Motha.
