Portion 144 imposed in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone after stone pelting at Ram Navami procession

Stones were hurled at a Ram Navami procession in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone metropolis on Sunday triggering incidents of arson whereby some vehicles were build on fire, prompting authorities to clamp curfew in three areas and share 144 of CrPC within the total metropolis. Police fired trip gasoline shells to govern the insist.

Khargone superintendent of police Sidharth Choudhary and two police personnel were injured within the stone-pelting together with some folks.

Khargone District Collector Anugrah P mentioned share 144 of CrPC (banning assembly of 4 or more folks) has been imposed within the total metropolis.

“Curfew has been clamped in three areas including Talab Chowk and Tavdi within the metropolis,” he mentioned, adding that incidents of teen arson came about following the pelting of stones.

When the Ram Navami procession started from the Talab Chowk dwelling near the district headquarters stones were pelted on the gathering, prompting the police to fire trip gasoline shells to govern the insist. Some policemen and folks were injured, mentioned Khargone Extra Collector Sumersingh Mujalde.

The procession became supposed to snatch a spherical of Khargone metropolis but it no doubt became abandoned midway after the violence, the collector added.

The Khargone SP sustained wound to his foot and admitted to a non-public clinical institution.

When PTI contacted the SP, police personnel who attended the option mentioned that Choudhary became resting.
