The Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) is at risk of postpone entrance tests for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes till the 2d week of June as their dates are overlapping with CBSE Class 12 board checks, officials said on Thursday.

Entrance tests to applications not covered below the Overall College Entrance Test (CUET) were scheduled to initiate from June 2. The checks are essentially expected to launch on June 11.

The university can be expected to lengthen the deadline for submission of applications from May perchance well perchance maybe also 12 to May perchance well perchance maybe also 25.

Registrar Nazim Hussain Jafri told PTI that the entrance checks will now from June 11.

The revised schedule is at risk of be issued soon.

“We own got decided to lengthen the dates of entrance checks as 12th class checks are underway they usually were overlapping with entrance checks. The deadline for submission of applications will also be extended execute May perchance well perchance maybe also 12 to May perchance well perchance maybe also 25,” Jafri said.

The Term-II examinations for Class 12 board checks are to be concluded on June 13.

In April, the JMI launched its admission prospectus and said on-line admission kinds were made on hand from April 14.

The university had earlier announced that admission to 10 applications shall be through the CUET.

These applications are: BA (Hons) Hindi, BA (Hons) Sanskrit, BA (Hons) French and Francophone Studies, BA (Hons) Spanish and Latin American Studies, BA (Hons) Economics, BA (Hons) History, BSc in Biotechnology and BVoc (Solar Energy), BSc (Hons) Physics and BA (Hons) Turkish Language and Literature.
