The country had imported 5.55 lakh tonnes of soyabean all the intention thru the 2021-22 season (October-September), it said.

Consistent with the Soybean Processors Affiliation of India (SOPA), the home production of soyabean is estimated to make greater to 120.40 lakh tonnes in the 2022-23 season in comparison with 118.89 lakh tonnes final season.

The total availability of soyabean is estimated at 147.55 lakh tonnes this season, better than 126.27 lakh tonnes in the outdated season, the change body said in an announcement.

Total soyabean meal production is pegged better at 79.82 lakh tonnes all the intention thru the 2022-23 season, as towards 67.05 lakh tonnes in the outdated season, SOPA added.
