The Congress on Wednesday wrote to House Minister Amit Shah for ensuring safety of Rahul Gandhi and others for the length of the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

In a letter to Shah, AICC accepted secretary K C Venugopal said there had been several incidents of multiple breaches in safety for the length of the Bharat Jodo Yatra when it entered Delhi.

He also cited cases of “miscreants” coming into the Yatra camp insist illegally and alleged that they had been Haryana’s intelligence safety personnel looking to swoop on the yatris and had been interrogating of us that took fraction in the yatra.

“The protection of yatra was compromised on multiple times following its entry into Delhi on Saturday,” Venugopal said in his letter.

He alleged that Delhi Police totally did not manipulate the surging crowds and shield a perimeter spherical Rahul Gandhi, who has “Z+ Security”.

“The anguish was so excessive that Congress workers and Bharat Yatris walking with Rahul Gandhi had to perform a security perimeter. Alternatively, Delhi Police remained quiet spectators,” he claimed.
