Acting Coordinator for Counterterrorism Timothy Betts travels to Japan, the Philippines, and India December 8-14.
In Japan, Acting Coordinator Betts participated in trilateral counterterrorism discussions December 8 with senior authorities officers from Australia and Japan. These discussions centered on the most novel terrorism landscape, including continual threats within the Indo-Pacific.
In Manila on December 9, he’ll meet with senior Philippine officers from the Division of Foreign Affairs and Anti-Terrorism Council to talk about ongoing counterterrorism cooperation and the U.S.-Philippine security partnership.
Acting Coordinator Betts concludes his day out in Unusual Delhi, the place he’ll lead the united statesdelegation on the annual U.S.-India Counterterrorism Joint Working Community on December 12-13. The Joint Working Community will evaluation regional and global terrorist possibility assessments, collaborative bilateral and regional counterterrorism programming, and initiatives to give a gain to legislation enforcement and judicial partnerships.
